Experience
Former Apple Computer Evangelist in the areas of digital computer music, animation, video and interactive arts. I designed the Apple computer choir sample startup sound.

Established UMEDIA (1986) as an award-winning multimedia company that pioneers new media technologies in the areas of music, audio, video, interactive training, Web design, audio production… with local, national and international projects.

Founding Faculty Member of the Illinois Summer School for the Arts. I was hired to develop and teach an interdisciplinary arts program for gifted high school students in Illinois. This program, hosted by Illinois State University, was modeled throughout the U.S.

Currently, Artist-in-Residence, Hoogland Center for the Arts.

Holistic/Metaphysical Artist & Teacher. I have studied with Drs. Deepak Chopra and David Simon. I am a Chopra Center certified instructor of Primordial Sound Meditation. Encouraged by Deepak, I wrote and published, “Who Moved My Illusion?”

Education
B. S. Music Illinois State University. I studied music composition with composer Dr. Roque Cordero.

M.A. Communication/Video University of Illinois Springfield. Emphasis on film/video and communication arts. My Master’s Thesis/Project was titled, “Towards an Unbroken Media & Arts.”

Teaching
University of Illinois Springfield: Communication/Art – 3D Animation

Robert Morris University. I have taught and developed a multimedia curriculum at Robert Morris University, in the areas of 3D and Flash animation, Web Design, Interface Design, Video and Audio Production, Film and Photography, Graphic Design and Humanities.

Benedictine University. Film History and Creative Writing.

ASCAP. I am a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP)
NARAS. I am a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (Grammy 365)

Awards
Sound Designer for the crowdsourced TV video series, Inventing The Future, nominated for a 2012–2013 Emmy Award in the “Outstanding Achievement In Interactivity” category by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Midwest Chapter.

Winner of the Best Live Performance Album in the 13th Annual Independent Music Awards (2014) for “Sound Portraits,” by Wertico Cain & Gray.
